Why should we prefer a combination of Arabica and Robusta?
Coffee is one of the most consumed beverages worldwide and has been well known for centuries. Today, we distinguish three main varieties of coffee: Arabica, Robusta and Liberica, each of which is distinguished by different cultivation specifics, as well as individual taste and quality characteristics. Liberica does not have the fame of a particularly high-quality variety and is therefore rarely used in the preparation of first-class coffee blends. It is more often found in low content and in combination with the other two varieties as a predominant amount. Arabica, on the other hand, wins a majority of coffee fans, with a low caffeine content and a noticeable acidity. Quite deservedly , 100% Arabica becomes a benchmark for quality and unique taste. Specific to Robusta coffee beans is the higher caffeine content , perfect for preparing the perfect espresso, as well as low acidity, despite the high intensity. One of the most common combinations in coffee blends is a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans , which blends the individual specificities of the varieties and delivers great coffee with every cup.
